The Challenge
The client needed to integrate a FANUC industrial robot with an existing production cell equipped with an Okuma lathe and HAAS mill. The robot had to handle the full production cycle β loading and unloading parts on both machines, managing operation sequences, and responding to signals from machines and the safety system.
The Solution
I integrated the robot with both CNC machines and designed the program parameters in the "HarrySoftware" HMI panel by D&H Innovations. I created a variable structure enabling quick configuration of new parts without modifying the robot's main program. I implemented an automatic measurement system that sends tool corrections directly to the CNC machines.
